I'm living in USA to learn English, and study in the university. Now, I 'm preparing to enter in the university studying an English Course. I'm studying in 4 different classes, speaking, reading, listening, and writing. Write is very hard for me in my native language, and here too. However, here in ELP, I'm learning each day more, not only improving my way to write, but forgot the afraid feeling that I felt in Brazil. I did not like to write articles in my high school, because I think the pressure was very high and I felt uncomfortable. Nevertheless, here I'm losing this feelings and each new essay I feel that I'm improving more. I believe that I'm improving in my vocabulary that was very poor, and before I only liked to write only because the grade. However, now writing became more than this, I really appreciate it.

The last week was a Break Spring and we students of ELP traveled to New York. New York is an amazing city with many interesting places to visit. We visited museums, Central Park, famous Cathedral called St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Statue of Liberty, and very tall building to observe the city at night and in the day. I loved everything, principally the Statue of Liberty because is one of the most famous place in all the world and because is very huge and beautiful. I loved too the Madame Tussands Wax Museum that have fake famous people. This museum for me was the second most interesting place in New York. In conclusion I loved to visit New York, this travel was a amazing experience.

Today I will talk about the most popular sport in Brazil!!!

The name is football. 90 percent of all population in Brazil love it.

Football began in 3.000 b.c, people practiced this sport that was military training. The game was played with the head of enemies. After some years they began to use the ball.

The footbool practiced in Brazil today began because a man, (Charles Miller) went to England to study. When he came to Brazil, he brought the ball with him. The first game happened in 1895 in a game with workers of a company. In addition,when football began to be a game in Brazil only rich people participed, but after some years this sport began to be popular and everybody or began to play or began to see the game.

->Today I will talk again about Carnival because in this Thurday will begin this important holiday in Brazil. I will try talk a little about the history;

->A many years ago in Europe Carnival was considered a party that people "played" with water, eggs and flour. Only about 17000 that the Carnival came in Brazil. So, people began to use costumes and masks to comemmorate it.

->In 1900 people began to go to streets, decorate their cars and they began parade in streets. So, now this is very traditional, big cities where the carnival is very tradicitonal there parade with cars and people, like these pictures.

Today I will write about choices !
A lot of students like me was born with the same oportunities to have a good future. However some these students don't to do everything as they can. For example in Brazil good universities are free, so you don't need to be rich to enter, you only need want a lot and study a lot too, because is very difficult. So why few students don't enter in the university? The answer is they don't study or try enough to win. Therefore some they choose the easier way that is not enter in a university and begin to work young. In contrast who choose the difficult way that is study more, and go to parties less than who choose the easier way, in the future they will have better life too. With this simple paragraph I wrote about what you want to be is your choice, of course, nothing in our life is easier and if we work hard, we will have a amazing future. *_*

Carnaval!

Today I will to talk about the holiday that for me is more interesting and funny in Brazil. The name of this holiday is Carnaval that is a annual festival. In this year Carnival will begin February 21 to 24. This holiday is very popular and almost everybody like it.

So, today is my first time in a blog, and I don't know exactly what I need write to interesting you reader. However I will talk a little about me. I`m Brazilian girl and I'm living here since August 2008. I stay in USA now to learn English and study major. I like to stay here because each day, I learn more and more and each day I find new friends. Before I came here I thought that maybe I will not like because all my friends stay in Brazil but now I changed my opinion. *_*
